Is your existing pool at least 5 m long?
Good — EasyStar needs a minimum 5.0 m swim length to generate a usable counter-current.
EasyStar will not fit pools under 5 m. A retrofit is not the right path — see the alternatives below.
Is there a standard 230 V supply within reach of the pool edge?
Perfect — every EasyStar model runs on single-phase 230 V, drawing 6 – 16 A depending on size.
A new circuit can usually be pulled from the pool house or villa consumer unit. Our install team scopes this during the site visit.
Is the pool coping suitable for EasyStar's bracket mount?
EasyStar hooks directly onto a standard pool edge — no coring, no replumbing, no wall penetration.
If the coping detail is unusual, we need a site check before promising fit. EasyStar is built for standard pool edges, not every bespoke profile.
Three Yes answers → EasyStar is the right retrofit. If your pool is under 5 m, a counter-current retrofit is not viable; HydroStar is a new-build option for pools from 4.5 m upward.

Cyprus-specific install considerations
A few things about installing in Cyprus that matter for a retrofit decision:
Outdoor year-round use. Cyprus' climate means an EasyStar installation can run from early spring into late autumn — a retrofitted pool earns its keep across a much longer swim season than in northern Europe.
230 V is the standard supply. EasyStar is single-phase 230 V across every model, so electrical work is a straightforward new circuit rather than a three-phase upgrade.
Cyprus villa pools are typically 5 – 12 m. That size band sits comfortably inside EasyStar's working range — most traditional villa pools on the island qualify for a retrofit without structural changes.
Local install and warranty. Reon Living (KYPOS LTD) is BINDER's Cyprus distributor, so install, commissioning, and the 3-year warranty are all handled on-island — not shipped back to the factory.
When EasyStar is not the right call
A retrofit only makes sense when the existing pool fits the envelope. If your pool is under 5 m, EasyStar cannot generate a usable current — a retrofit is not viable. For indoor installations that need special electrical or ventilation work, a site-specific engineering pass is required before any commitment. If you are planning a new pool rather than upgrading an existing one, HydroStar is almost always the better choice: it is designed into the wall from day one, supports pools from 4.5 m upward, and scales to higher flow rates. And if what you actually want is maximum flow for competitive training, HydroStar's top end reaches further than EasyStar's — up to 1,200 m³/h on the PRO line.

Will EasyStar damage my existing pool wall or tiles?+
No. EasyStar mounts via a bracket that hooks to the pool edge — there is no coring, no wall penetration, and no disturbance to existing tiling or waterproofing. That is the whole point of the retrofit design.
My pool is exactly 5 m long. Does that qualify?+
Yes. 5.0 m is the minimum swim length BINDER specifies for EasyStar. At that length you will get a usable counter-current, though longer pools give more comfortable stroke recovery. Pools under 5 m do not qualify.
How long does a retrofit installation take on-site?+
Most EasyStar retrofits are a one-day install once the electrical supply is in place. The bracket mount, hydraulic commissioning, and control pairing are all completed during the visit. If a new 230 V circuit needs to be pulled first, that is usually a separate half-day by our electrician.
